Lima is the capital of Peru, located on the Pacific coast. It is a city with a rich history and culture, with impressive colonial architecture and a vibrant gastronomic scene. The historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is one of the main tourist attractions of the city.
Itinerary
Huaca Pucllana – Colonial Lima:
We will visit the Historic Center of Lima to walk through the main streets of the colonial era. We will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the archaeological monuments of the colonial era. We will visit the Parque de La Muralla.
Basilica Convent San Francisco:
We will visit the largest and noblest monument in Lima called El Convento San Francisco. Inside the convent we will observe its great relics and religious halls. We will visit its impressive underground crypts; also called Catabumbas.
Hrs. Museum of the Central Reserve Bank:
We will visit the BCR Museum where it exhibits a large archaeological collection with representations of all the Pre-Columbian Cultures, Paintings and Art from all regions of Peru.
We will also visit the largest and most complete collection of coins, national banknotes, medals and decorations from the 16th century to the present day.
Hrs. Modern Lima:
We will move to the San Isidro district to visit the beautiful El Olivar park. We will visit the Parque del Amor located on the boardwalk, where you can take beautiful photos overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
